How To Apply

Prospective students are encouraged to apply early (as soon as the first term results of Grade 12 are issued by the school). Prospective students should not wait until their final examination results are announced. 


Prospective students are welcome to apply to any of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi’s programmes online at  Apply Now or through  NAPO for UAE national students. Applicants must complete all required information fields and submit the necessary documents. Incomplete applications will not be processed until they are completed. Applicants are also required to pay a non-refundable application fee (AED 200) in order for the Admissions Team to begin processing the application. 


The admission offer is valid only for the academic year for which the applicant applies. The deadline for the applicants to accept the admission offer is two weeks before the start of the academic year. 


Prospective students may also visit the campus to meet with an Admissions Officer for assistance with the online application process and to explore the facilities. Alternatively, enquiries can be sent to [email protected] . You may also use the 360 Virtual Tour to discover the campus. 

Documents Required for Undergraduate Programmes

The following documents are required to complete an online application: 

  1. Transcripts of your last two years of high school. 
  2. Copy of the Baccalaureate Diploma or High School Diploma or equivalent qualification. 
  3. Personal statement minimum 400-500 words in French (for the bachelor’s programmes taught in French) or in English (for the Diploma in Intensive French programme, Bachelor in Physics, Bachelor in Mathematics, Specialisation in Data Science for Artificial Intelligence, and Bachelor in Records Management and Archival Science).      
  4. Valid colored passport copy 
  5. A passport size photo (white background)


Additionally for UAE Nationals:

  • Valid colored passport copy along with ethbarah and unified number page
  • Copy of family book
  • Emirates ID both sides
  • Completion or Exemption letter from the National and Reserve Service Authority (applicable for UAE male applicants between the ages of 18 and 30 only)


Additionally for international students (UAE residents):

  • UAE Residence Visa copy
  • Emirates ID both sides 

Additionally For international applicants (residing outside UAE):

  • Fill up the personal information form 
  • Student visa FAQ 
  • JAPD certificate (for French nationals only)
  • French Aptitude Certificate for the students applying for the bachelor’s programmes taught in French (B2 level diplomas: DELF, TEF, TCF, or SELFEE) 
  • English Proficiency Exam: For the students applying for the Bachelor in Records Management and Archival science, the Bachelor in Physics, and the Bachelor in Mathematics, Specialisation in Data Science for Artificial Intelligence.


Note: Students may be exempt from the English proficiency exam depending on the admission criteria for each Science major.

Attestation

All applicants are required to attest their high school final certificates and transcripts. Conditional admission is provided for selected applicants who are in the process of obtaining their attested documents. These documents must be submitted within the first semester of enrolment. 

Equivalency

Equivalency is required for applicants who have earned their High School Diploma from private schools within the UAE or from schools outside the UAE. Conditional admission may be granted to selected applicants who are unable to provide the equivalency document at the time of application. Students must submit the equivalency document before the end of the first semester of enrolment. Please refer to the Ministry of Education’s website for further information.
